JAS team members worldwide celebrated Earth Month through various activities聽aimed at聽promoting sustainability and conservation. From beach cleanups to tree planting, each activity reflected JAS's dedication to making a positive difference in local communities and beyond.聽
In Germany, China, and Panama, JAS team members joined forces to plant over 1,300 trees.聽In Germany's Lower Saxony, to promote ecological resilience, employees chose a diverse range of tree species that they knew would thrive in the local climate and soil conditions.聽Similarly, in Xiamen, China, the JAS branch organized a poignant聽tree planting聽event聽aimed at enriching urban greenery and enhancing聽the cityscape, reflecting the team's commitment to sustainable development.聽Meanwhile, in Panama, JAS Panama collaborated with local organizations to plant native trees within the Camino de Cruces National Park, a vital initiative聽aimed at restoring habitats and preserving聽the region's rich biodiversity.聽
Simultaneously, in Taiwan, the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Sweden, JAS team members united their efforts as they cleaned up聽costal聽shorelines and forests, embodying their shared commitment to environmental preservation. With gloves on and bags in hand, they combed the beaches, collecting everything from plastic bottles to cigarette butts, restoring the natural beauty of the their local communities.聽
In Brazil, JAS team members partnered with the ,聽and headed into the Atlantic rainforest to engage in various volunteer activities聽aimed at preserving聽this vital ecosystem. Through hands-on experiences like tree planting for reforestation and participating in educational workshops on sustainable practices, the Brazil team demonstrated their commitment to protecting biodiversity and promoting environmental awareness.聽

This marks the second year in a row JAS has been recognized by Flowserve, reinforcing its position as a trusted logistics partner in Flowserve鈥檚 supply chain.
JAS鈥檚 2024 recognition builds on its exceptional 2023 performance, which included Customs Broker of the Year and Best Account Management of the Year awards, with a special commendation for Regional Account Manager Katarina Cook. Flowserve annually awards five logistics partners across three freight forwarding and two non-freight categories (e.g., trucking, small packages), making JAS鈥檚 multi-year success a testament to its operational excellence and client-centric approach.

This month JAS proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new Beijing branch office, marking another important step in the company鈥檚 growth in China. The event welcomed Mr. Marco Civardi, CEO of JAS China; Ms. Cathy Yu, North China Area Manager of JAS China; and Mr. Marco Midolo, First Counsellor & Head of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Italian Embassy in China.
In their remarks, Mr. Civardi and Mr. Midolo reflected on the importance of strengthening ties between Italy and China, and shared their optimism for the continued development of the Beijing branch. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebratory toast followed, setting a warm and festive tone for the day.
